Metro India may collect the following information when you use the app:

Location data — Your device's GPS location is used to detect your nearest metro station and provide live navigation. Location is processed on-device and is never stored or transmitted to our servers.
Voice input — If you use the voice search feature, your speech is processed locally to identify station names. No audio is recorded or stored.

2. How We Use Your Information

To detect your nearest metro station automatically
To show your live location during a journey
To trigger journey alerts one stop before interchanges

3. Advertising

The current version of Metro India does not display any advertisements.

We may introduce ads in a future release to support free access to the app. If and when ads are added, we will update this Privacy Policy accordingly and notify users via an app update. Any advertising network used will comply with applicable privacy laws.

4. Data Storage

Metro India operates primarily offline. All station data and route information is stored locally on your device. We do not maintain any user accounts or remote databases containing personal information.

5. Third-Party Services

When you use the DMRC WhatsApp booking or NMRC app links, you are redirected to third-party services (WhatsApp / Google Play Store). Please refer to their respective privacy policies for how they handle your data.

6. Permissions Used

ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION / ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION — For nearest station detection and live journey tracking
RECORD_AUDIO — For optional voice station search
VIBRATE — For journey alert notifications
INTERNET — For initial app load (React Native framework requirement)

7. Children's Privacy

Metro India is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
